About Journey Mental & Emotional Wellness

Journey Mental & Emotional Wellness provides telehealth psychotherapy for family caregivers across Georgia.

Family caregivers often spend so much time supporting others that their own emotional wellbeing becomes secondary.

This practice was created to provide family caregivers with a supportive space to process stress, emotional exhaustion, and the many challenges that come with caring for a loved one.

Meet Samone Lee, LCSW

Hi, I’m Samone Lee, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Founder of Journey Mental & Emotional Wellness.

I bring more than 25 years of healthcare experience and over a decade of social work experience supporting individuals and families navigating complex emotional and medical challenges. Throughout my career, I have often seen how family caregivers carry significant responsibility while trying to balance the needs of their loved ones with their own wellbeing.

More recently, my work in behavioral mental health has included supporting caregivers of children with behavioral health and developmental disabilities. This experience has strengthened my understanding of the emotional strain family caregivers often experience, and the importance of having a supportive space where they can also receive care.

I also understand family caregiving from a personal perspective, which has deepened my appreciation for the emotional, practical, and relational challenges often faced.

I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) from Georgia State University, and my therapy approach is grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT is an evidence-based approach that helps people develop psychological flexibility, the ability to respond to difficult thoughts and emotions in healthier ways while continuing to move toward what matters most in their lives.

Through telehealth therapy, my goal is to help family caregivers build emotional resilience, gain clarity during stressful seasons, and reconnect with their own wellbeing while continuing to care for the people they love.
